Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles To Repeat

Season 1 of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is being repeated. The encore telecasts, which began with the pilot show last night, will run Sundays through Wednesdays, building up to the second season’s premiere on Sept. 8. (Fox, A-Channel - 10p.m.)

The reason for the quick turnaround is last season’s writers strike. Only 9 Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles episodes were made in season 1 and the powers that be are worried 9 wasn’t enough to earn a loyal following.

Thomas Dekker who plays John Connor in the TV series has been telling anyone who will listen about how lucky he feels to be playing the part of Connor, the young man destined to save humanity IF is mother Sarah Connor can keep him alive that is.

“I grew up really, really hooked on these films, they were, like, my favourite films when I was younger,” Dekker says of the original Terminator movies. “So, it’s very ironic that I’m getting to do this. And I know, for the younger generation and for myself, John was equally important to me as Sarah was. I know a lot of the people that I hear from really, really care about John.”

Although Thomas Dekker would have been aware of the expectation involved in stepping into a TV series based on such a famous movie franchise, it’s going to be interesting to see how that expectation rises as the new Terminator Salvation approaches.
